|Recommended: YesNice Place, Great Property Manager, Move out fees too high — I was down to the wire when I found Cascade View the weekend before I was to move. The rental agent covering that weekend stayed late on a Saturday to show me the place and get the paperwork signed. I have to say, the staff is wonderful and so very helpful. The property manager, Kim, and the facilities person, Eugene, are incredible. If there was ever an issue, it was fixed quickly. Kim is warm and genuinely concerned about the residents. Over all, I was lucky to find the place. But, after receiving the move out invoice, I am so disappointed in the property management company. If there ever was an example of american greed, this company wins the prize. Carpet usage fee of 610.97 for one year, Floor Treatment - Pet seal of 193.30, and it goes on. Yes, I should have done my due diligence and asked more questions but like I said, I was in a hurry. It has been a long time since I rented from a property management company and maybe this is standard now. How sad, kind of like pet rent.
We value all customer feedback and will take it seriously. We strive to be fair and reasonable when assessing move out charges. It's typically when we need to remediate situations, such as stains or pet odor, that we charge more, as those are not considered normal wear and tear. We want to clean the home so that it is in great condition for the next resident to enjoy. We wish you the best of luck in your future housing endeavors.
